I consider teaching to be an essential part of being a philosopher. I spent a year serving in the Pedagogical Fellows program at UC Irvine, studying pedagogy research and training new teaching assistants. Having taught at institutions large and small, public and private, I consider my record of teaching and mentorship to be my most significant contribution.
